Perfect Picnics

Each year, we partner with the Design Industries

Foundation Fighting AIDS (DIFFA) to host Picnic

by Design, a charitable event that celebrates design,

food and innovation. Designers, manufacturers

and artists create custom picnic baskets

(often with a little help from our wide array of fabrics)

to be auctioned off. The funds raised support

nonprofit organizations across the country

combating HIV and AIDS.

Below, meet a few of our collaborators and

the inspiring concepts they pulled together for

this special event…

Antoinette Loupe

A Night in Tunisia

by Antoinette Loupe

Inspired by Charlie Parker’s 1940s jazz standard

“A Night in Tunisia,” designer Antoinette Loupe

used fabrics reminiscent of Beni Ourain rugs

and Berber kilims in our inky black hue, Onyx.

Antoinette’s Perfect Picnic:

“Anything beachside and warm…with ice-cold

Provençal rose of course!”

Michele Alfano

Hygge Modern

by Michele Alfano

Using the Danish philosophy of hygge to guide

her, designer Michele Alfano chose fabrics in

airy, light hues and modern graphic patterns to

mimic the cozy yet restrained

Scandinavian lifestyle.

Picnic By Design

Michele’s Perfect Picnic:

“Wine, cheese, friends and a colorful sunset.”

Tyler Wisler

Eleganza Extravaganza

by Tyler Wisler

Looking to fun and colorful pop culture sources

like the television show Rupaul’s Drag Race,

designer Tyler Wisler created his fabulous basket

with overtly feminine chinchilla and silky

pink fabrics.

Tyler’s Perfect Picnic:

“Literally anywhere. As long as you have friends,

family and fun you’ll be good to go!”
